This Privacy Policy outlines how ThanHub Rover ("the Bot") collects, uses, and protects your data when you invite it to your servers or interact with it. By using our bot, you consent to the practices described below.

1. Data We Collect

To provide features like Web Verification, Linked Roles, and server analytics, ThanHub Rover securely collects the following information from Discord:

  • User Profiles: User IDs, Usernames, and Avatars to link accounts and enforce security policies.
  • Guild Information: Server IDs and Channel IDs strictly for logging, moderation, and configuration purposes.
  • OAuth2 Tokens: Temporarily generated tokens used explicitly to assign Server Roles and Role Connection metadata (the green checkmark on your profile).

2. How We Use Your Data

ThanHub Rover uses your data only for the features you explicitly interact with. We use this data to:

  • Verify your account age and avatar to protect servers against alt-accounts and raids.
  • Apply Linked Roles and role metadata directly to your Discord profile.
  • Send security alerts or logs to server administrators regarding verification status.

We do not read the content of your private messages, nor do we track your activity outside of the commands you explicitly run.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your privacy is our priority. Any configuration data or verification records are stored securely in an encrypted database (Supabase). OAuth2 tokens used during the Web Verification process are strictly transient and are securely discarded or automatically expired by Discord.

4. Data Sharing

ThanHub never sells, trades, or otherwise transfers your personally identifiable information to outside parties. Data is only shared with Discord’s official APIs to apply roles or profile connections as requested.

5. Your Rights & Data Removal

You have the right to request the removal of any data we hold about you. If you wish to revoke ThanHub Rover's access to your profile, you can simply go to Discord Settings > Authorized Apps and deauthorize the ThanHub application. This instantly revokes our ability to update your Linked Roles.
